CONCOR takes a giant leap in cold chain logistics services

Moves pharma products in own specially designed hybrid reefer container to Singapore under its own Bill of Lading.

The Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has successfully moved temperature-sensitive products of pharma giant Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited, in CONCOR’s own specially designed Hybrid Reefer 20ft container from the plant at Dewas to Singapore under CONCOR’s own Bill of lading. The reefer container sailed out from Nhava Sheva on January 4, 2026 and was delivered to the customer in Singapore.

CONCOR’s own reefer containers are certified for use by the pharma industry and are equipped with modern data loggers that keep record of temperature, location and humidity. These are multimodal assets – fit to be used on road, rail and at sea.

The unique feature of these reefer containers is that they are capable of maintaining a specific temperature without use of DG set for around 50 hours. At the same time, they can be charged en route for longer journeys. Thus, while on the one hand, these containers help in reducing carbon footprint, they also have all the features of conventional ISO reefer containers.

This movement highlights a sustainable cold chain solution and demonstrates CONCOR’s capability to provide seamless and reliable services to customers anytime, anywhere, highlighted a release.
